The City of Southampton Youth Football League welcomes you to their UK soccer website; whether you are a member of one of our clubs or just a casual visitor we hope you find it interesting and worthwhile.

The league was founded in 1969 we have grown season on season. There was a period however when the league consisted of just one small division at each age group and seemed to be struggling to survive. Derek Harris, the then Assistant Secretary of the Hampshire Youth Football Association, took over as League Secretary and with help from a number of committed volunteers: the league as you see it today took shape and grew to its current size and stature. Now, with Derek as President, Alan Johns as Chairman and the hard working stalwarts on the Committee  we look forward to yet another busy and competitive season.

The popularity and high standard of youth football offered is reflected by the regular applications the league receives from as far afield as Salisbury, Andover, Basingstoke, Gosport, Alresford, Lymington and the Isle of Wight. The league continues to grow in size and stature across south Hampshire.

On behalf of everyone involved in the League may I extend warm welcome to you all for the 2007/2008 Season.
Euan Webster
Hon Secretary
